Services
I am happy to offer the following services:
Hay Analysis Consultation
This may be the single best thing you can do for your horse's good health. There isn't a single perfect hay or pasture out there. The likelihood that any one hay will meet all the mineral needs of your horse is highly unlikely. The likelihood that your hay or pasture and any one feed is meeting the mineral requirements of your horse is also unlikely.
Service: Standard Hay Analysis Consultation
Fee: $100 plus $0.50/mile for distance over 10 miles.
What is included:
- A visit to your farm to collect a hay sample.
- A laboratory analysis of the hay sample.
- I will meet your horses and document pertinent statistics and feeding information.
- Based on your hay results and the nutrition information on the remainder of the diet, I will report to you the mineral content and ratios of the current diet as compared to NRC (National Resource Council) recommended quantities and ratios.
- I will formulate a mineral mix to balance the diet (there are a number of ways to implement this formulation, which I will discuss with you when it's presented.
I typically spend several hours analyzing client hay results and preparing the information to be presented to the client.
Custom Mineral Mixes
If you already have a hay analysis, or if you've had me for a hay analysis consultation, I can make a custom mineral mix for your horses to balance their current diet. In most cases a custom mix is inexpensive and you will have the benefit of supplementing your horses with only what they need. Each mix is custom - ask for quote.
Equine Touch
Equine Touch is a non-diagnostic, non-invasive energy and muscle release discipline that works at a complete, holistic level; in other words it addresses the equine as a whole. It is not a 'therapy' although it has been proven time after time to have a strong therapeutic effect on an eclectic multitude of equine problems. The gentle non-invasive procedures re-educate the equine body to re-balance from a cellular level, encouraging the horse toward the ideal state of homeostasis, wherein any problem can be addressed on all levels.
It's a system of body work that addresses the equine as a whole without paying any particular attention to any named problem as such. It consists of a series of gentle moves performed over specific points in predetermined patterns. These gentle moves are interspersed with waiting periods to allow the equine to recognize and process the effects of these subtle procedures.
